Description

Corner Green Farmhouse is a 16th-century farmhouse that features a timber frame encased in 19th-century red brick, except for the right gable end, which remains plastered. The roof is covered with glazed black pantiles. The building has two storeys and an attic, arranged in a three-cell form, and includes four mid-20th-century casement windows. There is a lobby entrance with a wide gabled porch and a mid-20th-century door, along with a half-door at the service end. A single raking dormer and an internal stack are present. To the right of the farmhouse, there is a brick lean-to with a wide gabled porch.

The interior has been modernised but retains some original features, including a partly exposed frame. Notable elements include paired 4-centre arched service doorways in very good condition, and storey posts in the hall that have deep jowled heads. There are two blocked hall windows with cavetto and chamfered mullions. Although the first-floor newel stairs have been removed, the attic flight remains intact. The original roof structure features a single row of clasped purlins and cranked wind-bracing.
