Description
Pondside is a house, which was later divided into two dwellings. It dates from the mid to late 17th century and was altered in the 20th century. The building has a timber frame that is plastered and features a steeply pitched roof covered with plain tiles. It has a broad two-cell lobby entrance plan and is one storey high with attics. The central entrance consists of a half-glazed and half-panelled door set within a 20th-century closed gabled porch. On either side of the entrance are two-light glazing bar casements, and there are gabled dormers above. The building has a renewed red brick plinth and a rebuilt central axial ridge stack. To the left, there is a 20th-century lean-to outshut, which has an attic light and exposed purlins. Inside, there is a chamfered cross axial binding beam and chamfered posts, although much of the framing is largely concealed. The first floor has not been inspected.
