Description

41 Low Street is a house that dates back to the 16th century and has been modified over time. It features a timber frame and plastered exterior, with some roof slopes covered in plain tiles and others in pantiles. The building has two storeys and includes a gabled wing that is bargeboarded, facing the green, with a shorter section set slightly back to the left. The wing has a jettied rear gable end and a jettied side wall on the left. It has small-paned casement windows. The gable end is adorned with a 19th-century open porch that has a gabled roof and wavy bargeboards supported by octagonal timber posts, leading to a half-glazed door, also from the 19th century, which is accessed by a flight of three steps. There are single-storey additions at the rear, but the interior has not been examined.
