Description
The Cottage, located about 60 meters west of Yeoman House, is a pair of cottages dating from the 18th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. The structure features a timber frame that is plastered with panelled pargetting and has a steeply pitched pantiled roof. It has a broad two-cell lobby entry plan and stands two storeys high. The central entrance is a boarded door, with a three-light casement window to the left and a two-light casement window to the right, both from the 20th century. There is a central axial ridge stack, and the right end of the building shows exposed side purlins. At the rear, there are 20th-century lean-tos with entrances. The interior includes tension bracing, although the right half has not been inspected.
