Description
The Cottage is a mid-19th century house, formerly used as a shop. It is constructed of colourwashed brick and has a slate roof. The building is two bays wide, with two storeys. A boarded door is located to the right of the centre. The ground floor windows are 3-light glazing bar casements, with segmental heads. The window to the left replaced a previous shop window. The first-floor windows on the left have leaded lights, while those on the right have metal frames. Boarded eaves run along the top of the building. An internal brick stack is located at the right end. The Cottage is attached to The Old House on the left side. A 20th-century lean-to addition is present at the rear. The interior has not been inspected. The building is included on the list for its contribution to the group value of the surrounding buildings.
