Description

Haywards Farm Cottage is a part of a former farmhouse, now functioning as a single dwelling. It is a 16th century rebuilding of the hall range of a medieval house and was renovated in the mid 20th century. The building is timber framed and plastered, topped with a pantiled roof. It has two storeys and features five mid 20th century casement windows. To the right, there is a mid 20th century porch and door. The cottage has an internal stack and a gable stack to the right, both with 19th century shafts. The interior has not been examined. The south bay of this range is part of Chickering Corner Farmhouse.
