Description

HOXNE CHICKERING TM 27 NW 3/62 Haywards Farm Cottage 29.7.55 (formerly listed with Item Nos 3/61 & 3/63 as Haywards Farmhouse) GV II Part of former farmhouse, now one dwelling. A C16 rebuilding of the hall range of a medieval house. Renovated mid C20. Timber framed and plastered with a pantiled roof. 2 storeys. 5 windows, mid C20 casements. Mid C20 porch and door to right. Internal stack and gable stack to right, both with C19 shafts. Interior not examined. South bay of this range forms part of Chickering Corner Farmhouse (Item No. 3/61).
