Description
No. 132 High Street is a house that has a core dating from the 15th or early 16th century, with significant alterations made in the mid-19th century. The building has two storeys and is timber-framed, covered in red brick from the mid-19th century. It features a plaintiled roof with a central chimney made of red brick. The windows are mid-19th century sashes, with the upper window containing small panes. The entrance door is a six-panelled design. This house is part of an open hall of modest status, which has exposed widely-spaced arch-braced studwork on its end wall and two side walls. The rest of the hall was demolished in the 19th century when the adjacent dwelling, No. 134 High Street, was constructed.
