Description

Pasture Cottage is a house from the early 16th century, which is a remnant of a larger structure that has since been demolished. The building has two storeys and features two windows. It is timber framed and plastered, with the upper floor jettied on the north side, supported by brackets and shafts beneath the jetty, and has embattling on the beams. The south wall was also jettied until the 19th century when it was underbuilt in painted brick. The roof is covered with plain tiles, and there is a 17th-century internal end chimney on the right side. The cottage has 18th or early 19th-century three-light casements. There is a gabled entrance porch from the 19th century, which has a plain tiled roof, an arched outer doorway, and a boarded inner door. The interior has not been examined.
