Description

Framsden War Memorial is made of Portland stone and features a rectangular pillar topped with a gabled roof. The front face of the memorial displays a wreath and cross carved in relief, with the years 1914 and 1919 in incised, black-painted lettering on either side. Below this, an inscription reads: "TO THE GLORY OF GOD/ AND IN HONOURED MEMORY OF THE MEN/ FROM FRAMSDEN WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES/ IN THE GREAT WAR/ (NAMES)."

The pillar stands on a three-stepped base, with the upper step featuring the inscription: "ALSO OF THE FOLLOWING WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES/ 1939 IN THE SECOND WORLD WAR 1945/ (NAMES)."
