Description

This building, located at 13 Marriott's Walk, is a house that has been divided into two properties and dates back to around 1760. It features colourwashed brick beneath plain tile and slate roofs. The south front serves as the entrance to No. 1 Kensington Road and consists of two storeys with a three-window front. A central six-panelled door is topped by a shallow five-vaned fanlight and is flanked by reeded quarter-columns. On either side of the door, there is an 8/8 sash window, and above the door, there is a 6/6 sash window flanked by two 8/8 sash windows, all under segmental heads. The building has a modillion eaves cornice and a hipped roof.

The west return has three bays, with a platband at the first floor and a 20th-century external stack located left of centre. Each floor has three 6/6 sash windows, two of which are from the 20th century, along with a 20th-century roundel on the ground floor. There are three flat-topped dormers on the roof, and stacks are present on the rear roof slopes. At the rear of No. 13 Marriott's Walk, there is a three-storey early 19th-century hipped extension that occupies the angle of an otherwise L-shaped plan, featuring sashes and a slate roof, with external stacks on the north and south sides.
