Description
Poplar Farmhouse is a former farmhouse that has been converted into two dwellings. It dates from the late 16th century to early 17th century and features a timber frame that is rendered, with a roof made of concrete pantiles. The building has a three-cell layout and stands two storeys tall. There are three windows, which are 16-paned sashes set in flush frames. The entrance is a lobby style with a six-panel door, where the upper two panels are glazed, and it includes an architrave and cornice. The main stack has a 19th-century axial red brick shaft, and there is a gable stack on the right side. At the rear, there is a two-storey lean-to constructed of clay lump with a slated roof. The interior has not been examined.
