Description
Sunnyview is a former farmhouse dating from the 17th century, built in two phases. It features a timber frame and is roughcast-rendered, with a roof that is now clad in corrugated iron, replacing the original thatch. The building has a three-cell layout and stands two storeys high. The ground floor has mid-20th century standard casement windows, while the upper floor is fitted with 19th century cross-paned casements. The lobby entrance includes a semi-glazed panelled door and a simple mid-20th century open porch. Inside, there is an internal stack with a narrow brick axial shaft. At the rear, there is a lean-to roof covered with pantiles. The original house consists of three bays with plain studding and evidence of diamond-mullioned windows, along with a cambered tie beam over the service partition. Additionally, there is a one-bay extension at the parlour end that was added in the later 17th century. The roof timbers are concealed.
