Description
The Firs is a house dating from the early 19th century, constructed of gault brick and topped with a slate roof. It stands two storeys high with a three-window south facade. The entrance features a six-panelled door, with the upper two panels being glazed, and is adorned with a five-vaned fanlight. A flat porch from the early 20th century, supported by octagonal timber posts, is located at the front. On either side of the door are 8/8 sash windows with scalloped hoods and gauged skewback arches. The first floor has three 3/3 sash windows, with the central panes being larger than the others. The eaves cornice is decorated with paired mutules, and the hipped roof has two stacks on the rear slope.
