Description

The building at 43 Fonnereau Road, known as the YWCA, is an early 19th-century house made of grey gault brick. It has three storeys and features a three-window range with double-hung sash windows that include glazing bars. The first-storey windows are adorned with stucco cornices supported by brackets. A moulded stucco band runs between the first and second storeys, while a stucco cornice with a frieze separates the ground and first storeys. The entrance boasts a central six-panel door, which is sheltered by a stucco Ionic porch featuring fluted columns and a cornice. The roof is covered with slate. This building is part of a group that includes numbers 43 to 47 (odd).
