Description
Number 35 Westgate Street and Number 2 Museum Street is a mid-19th century building featuring a quadrant corner that connects to Museum Street. This structure is complemented by Nos 31 and 33, creating an attractive approach to Museum Street. The building stands three storeys tall with a total of seven windows: one facing Westgate Street, one on the quadrant corner, and five along Museum Street. The windows are double-hung sashes with glazing bars set in plain reveals, topped with stucco cornice lintels on brackets. The upper storeys have window ranges that are separated by recessed brick panels. Number 2 Museum Street features three-light windows on both the ground and first storeys. A plain stucco band runs along the window sill level of the first storey, while an ornamental stucco band is located between the first and second storeys. The roofs are slate with a modillion eaves cornice. Number 35, including Number 2 Museum Street, forms a group with Nos 31 and 33 and Nos 1 and 3 Museum Street.
