Description

40, 40A, and 40B Westgate Street is an 18th-century building with a red brick front and a parapet. It stands three storeys high and features a five-window range with double-hung sash windows that have glazing bars on the first-storey windows, although one window on the second storey is blocked. The centre window on the first storey is distinguished by a raised brick surround and a shaped soffit. A raised brick band runs between the storeys. The ground storey accommodates 20th-century shops. The roofs are hipped and tiled, located behind the parapet.
