Description

This is a pair of mid- to late 19th-century red brick houses, numbered 4 to 10 Burlington Road. The houses have white brick quoins and red brick ornamentation. The design includes two gabled wings that project at the north-east and south-west ends. The buildings are two stories high, with a sub-basement level. They have a 1:1:1 window arrangement, featuring double-hung sash windows with glazing bars in plain reveals. Two-story entrance wings are set back on the north-east and south-west ends, and the doorways are sheltered by open, semi-circular arched porches. The roofs are slate on numbers 4 and 6, and have 20th-century pantiles on numbers 8 and 10.
