Description
Nos 90 and 92 on Fore Street are 18th century buildings with a plastered front that likely covers a 16th century timber-framed and plastered structure. The ground floor features a 20th century shop front. The buildings are two storeys high with two windows: one is a three-light oriel bay and the other is a two-light window with double-hung sashes and glazing bars, all set in flush cased frames. Inside, there are some moulded ceiling beams. The roof is tiled and dates from the 20th century. Nos 80 and 80A, along with Nos 84 to 92 (even), create a notable group of 15th to 17th century timber-framed buildings. They also form a group with Nos 77 to 81 (odd) (The Lord Nelson Inn) and Nos 85 to 91 (odd).
