Description

The Lord Nelson Inn is a 17th century timber-framed and plastered building located at 1260 Fore Street, specifically Nos 77 to 81 (odd). It features a jettied upper storey on the western half of the block, showcasing exposed timber-framing and exposed joists. The building has two storeys and attics. The first storey windows consist of 3, 4, and 5-light mullioned casements with leaded lights. The ground storey is constructed of 20th century brick and has continuous windows along the front. The roof is tiled and includes three gabled dormers. The Lord Nelson Inn, along with Nos 85 to 91 (odd), forms a group with other nearby buildings, including Nos 80 and 80A, and Nos 84 to 92 (even).
