97 Fore Street is a late 18th century or early 19th century brick building that has been painted. It stands three storeys tall and features a four-window range, although two of the windows on the second storey are blocked. The windows are double-hung sashes, some of which have glazing bars. The ground storey includes a 19th century shop front, and the roof is covered with slate.
