Description
The building is a disused laundry located immediately south of Laundry Farmhouse, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a roof made of glazed pantiles. The laundry is a single storey structure with two windows, showcasing tall two-light casements that have pointed arches and Y tracery. There is a recessed entrance bay that includes a pointed plank door. Attached to the south is an early 20th-century cottage, which was built to accommodate laundry workers. This cottage is also made of red brick, has a slated roof, and is two storeys high with two windows that feature two-light casements and a boarded door. This building is a rare example of a purpose-built estate laundry.
