Description

The building comprises two cottages, originally a single house, dating to the 17th and 18th centuries. The structure is timber-framed and plastered, with the left-hand gable end partially faced with red brick. It has a thatched roof. The house is two storeys high and has three windows. The upper floor features 18th- to 19th-century three-light casement windows, while the ground floor has 20th-century two-light casements. A 20th-century boarded door leads to a conservatory-style porch with a half-glazed door. Two internal stacks have been rebuilt. Local accounts suggest the building was originally a tithe barn. The building is included on the heritage register partly for its contribution to the wider group value of surrounding buildings.
