Description
The Farmstead is a house that was originally a farmhouse, dating from the early to mid-17th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and plastered exterior, topped with a thatched roof. The building has two storeys and an attic, arranged in a three-cell form. It features four windows, mostly 19th-century casements, along with one original ovolo-moulded mullioned window at the rear, while others have been blocked. The entrance is a lobby type with a gabled open porch and a mid-20th century plank door. Inside, there is an internal stack with a sawtooth pattern and an inset panel at the base. The interior has been well restored, showcasing exposed framing and joists, newel stairs, and original floorboarding. The hall and parlour contain ovolo-moulded floor beams.
