Description

The Plough Inn is a public house with a core dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century, and a facade from the 19th century. It is built of colourwashed brick and features a brick dentil eaves cornice. The roof is pantiled with glazed black tiles at the front. The building is one and a half storeys tall and has three sash windows with glazing bars set in flush frames, featuring both flat and cambered arches. There is a 20th-century half-glazed door and three flat-roofed dormers. Inside, there is an internal stack, and the bar area showcases an ovolo-moulded floor beam and exposed joisting. The building has various additions at the rear.
