Description

Baxter House is a house dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a pantiled roof with glazed black tiles at the front. The building has two storeys and a symmetrical three-bay facade. The sash windows, which have glazing bars, are set in flush frames and are topped with flat brick arches. The central doorway consists of a six-panel door, with the upper two panels being glazed, and is adorned with a frieze and cornice supported by shaped brackets. The house also has a brick dentil eaves cornice and parapet gable ends that include integral stacks.
