Description

SUTTON SUTTON STREET TM 34 SW (South side) 10/141 Sutton Hall Estate Office GV II Estate Office, formerly lodge to Wood Hall (q.v. 10/143). Early C19. Rubble flint with red brick dressings and thatched roof. Single storey. Entrance front: 3 bays symmetrically disposed. Central doorway with interlacing tracery to the panels. To either side are 2-light casement windows with Y-tracery. C20 porch before the door supported on round wooden posts and with a hipped roof. Brick quoins to corners and around door and windows. Hipped roof with rectangular central ridge chimney stack. Right hand flank: 2-light window with flat head. A pair to the lodge across the drive q.v. 10/140, which was originally also single- storied and similar.
