Description

The churchyard walling located 35 meters south of the Church of St. Mary is a mid-19th century boundary wall that extends approximately 30 meters from the southeast corner of the churchyard westward to the entrance gateway of Uggeshall House. The wall is constructed of flint rubble topped with red brick copings and stands about one meter high. An unusual feature of the wall is a text from the 48th Psalm, which is worked in knapped flint and reads: 'MARK YE WELL HER BULWARKS THAT YE MAY TELL IT TO THE GENERATION FOLLOWING'.
