Description
Hall Farmhouse is a farmhouse dated with the initials 'W.A.S' over the right-hand doorway and '1837' over the left-hand doorway, indicating it was built for William Abraham Shuldham. The building is constructed of red brick and features a slated roof. It has two storeys and a five-window range, with 2-light and 3-light casements that include diamond panes. The 2-light windows have Y tracery glazing bars, and most windows are topped with segmental arches, except for the two doorway arches and the windows above them, which have elliptical arches. The doorway arches are detailed with keystones. Both doorways are deeply inset, creating a small entrance lobby between the outside wall and the door itself. The left-hand doorway has a boarded door, while the right-hand doorway features a six-panel door, with the upper two panels being glazed. Each lobby has an additional doorway at right angles. The roof is hipped with wide overhanging eaves, and the farmhouse is situated on a moated site.
