Description
Common Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century, with an addition to the west around 1880. The original structure is timber framed and plastered, originally featuring panels, while the 19th-century addition is made of red brick with a brick eaves dentil cornice. The roofs are covered with pantiles. The building is single storey with an attic, while the 19th-century addition is two storeys high. The windows are a mix of 19th-century and mid-20th-century casements. The west doorway features a boarded door set within a 19th-century brick porch, which has a gable with bargeboards and a spike finial. There is one dormer on each roof slope and an internal stack. Additionally, there is a single-storey dairy wing to the east.
