Description

No. 3 Thoroughfare is a late 18th-century building that stands three stories tall. It is constructed of red brick and features wide eaves with a reeded soffit adorned with roundels. The roof is covered with slates. Above the shop front, there are three pilasters that reach to the eaves, each topped with stucco caps. The building has two sash windows, which are fitted with moulded brick keys that form flat arches. The shop front, dating from the early 19th century, is characterized by fluted Ionic pilasters made of cast iron and ornamental stall board panels. This property is part of a group that includes Nos 1 to 6, Nos 8 to 10, and Nos 12 to 16 Thoroughfare.
