Description

No 16 on Bridge Street is an 18th-century, two-storey building that features a timber frame covered with stucco that resembles ashlar. The roof is made of pantiles and there is an ogee bracket cornice along the top. The building has a plinth and three sash windows with flush frames and glazing bars. The centre window has a pointed "Chinese" arch. The mid-19th century shop front includes a flush frame sash window on the right with glazing bars on the upper sash. The shop front is adorned with a cornice supported by consoles and features a six-panel door with a lozenged fanlight. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 16 and 19, along with Nos 1 to 3 and No 5.
