Description

Number 29, known as Smithy Tea-Rooms, and Number 28 are a pair of cottages dating from the early 18th century. They feature a red brick facade over a timber frame and have modern pantiles on the roof. Number 28 has a projecting brick porch. Both buildings have undergone significant alterations. They are two storeys tall with scattered windows, which are modern casements with glazing bars, and have segmental brick arches. Each building has a modern entrance door. There is a plain brick stack located over the entrance porch of Number 28, which likely served as the original lobby entrance. To the right of Number 29, there is a single storey structure that was formerly a smithy, but it is not listed on its own.
