Description
Gulpher Hall is a house dating from the late 18th century, with a 17th-century wing at the rear. The main part of the building is constructed of red brick and has plain tile roofs. The rear wing is timber framed and is connected to the main range by a single-storey section made of gault brick and covered with a slate roof.
The main range has two storeys and an attic, featuring three windows. On the ground floor, there is a tripartite sash window on the left and a 19th-century canted bay window on the right. The first floor includes a sash window with glazing bars on the left, a central sash window with a semicircular head and radial glazing bars, and a French window on the right that opens onto a balcony above the canted bay. The attic has three dormer windows, all of which are sashes with glazing bars.
The central doorway has a doorcase with fielded panelled reveals and a six-panel door beneath a fanlight with glazing bars. There is a 20th-century porch added. The first floor features a brick band, and pilaster strips highlight the centre bay. The eaves cornice has wood modillions, and there are brick internal end stacks. There is no access to the interior.
