Description

The Old Hall is a house dating from 1647, with later additions made in the 1930s to the rear. It is constructed with a timber frame and plaster panels, brick plinths, and a plaintile roof. The building follows a lobby entrance plan and has an asymmetrical facade with three windows. It is two storeys high. The windows are 20th-century casements, and there is a 20th-century jettied and gabled porch with casements matching the first floor. The entrance door is also 20th century. A brick ridge stack is present, along with an external end stack to the right gable.

Inside, there are blocked ovolo mullioned windows to the east (right) of the entrance door and at the first floor of the west gable. An inglenook fireplace is present, partly rebuilt but retaining original brickwork, stone quoins and a bressummer. The left-hand ground floor room features ornate chamfer stops. The roof has clasped purlins, although many of the timbers have been replaced.
