Description

Back to Front Cottage, East Cliff House is a house dating to circa 1860. It is located in Southwold, with a further section at 17 Trinity Street. The house is constructed of red brick with a hipped slate roof and brick ridge stacks.

The main front has two storeys and four windows. A half-glazed door is located to the right of centre, set within a timber doorcase supported by consoles and a hood. There are six-over-six unhorned sash windows to either side, each beneath a gauged skewback arch. To the extreme left is a plank passageway door with a segmental head. The first floor has four matching sash windows, with the window above the doorway having been altered in the late 20th century.

No. 17 Trinity Street has a two-storey, four-bay front. A four-panelled door is centrally placed, within a timber doorcase with a hood on consoles. There is a blind window above the door, and the remaining windows are six-over-six unhorned sashes.

The interior has not been inspected. The building is noted on a map of Southwold from 1839.
