Description

5 and 6 East Cliff are two pilot's cottages that have been converted into houses. They date from the early 19th century and were transformed into beach houses around 1910, with a verandah added around 1930. The cottages are constructed of pebbledashed brick and feature pantile roofs with two ridge stacks.

The exterior consists of a single-storey, five-bay range. There are two half-glazed doors and five 2/2 horned sash windows with external shutters. In front, four square-section timber posts support a roof-level balcony that has a timber balustrade. The verandah has built-out brick returns, and a ladder provides access to a trapdoor on the balcony.

The interior has not been inspected.
