Former National School. Dated 1837. Red and gault brick with some stucco and Welsh slate roof with brick central ridge stack. Simplified Tudor style. Single and 2 storeys. Front to Newgate has 3 coped gables facing with 2-storey former master's house in the centre with a single-storey school room either side. Between the house and rooms and at either end are square gault brick piers. The school rooms have red brick fronts with central doorways with hoodmoulds, that to left with keyblock, and doors, 4-panel to left, plank to right. Above in gables are 3-light windows, that to left with mullions and a stepped hood, that to right a wooden casement with flat hood. The 2-storey centre has a lined stucco front and a 3-light casement with flat hood over 2 taller 2-light casements and a plank door to left, all with flat hoods. Datestone in gable. Right side which faces Manor House Lane has 3 casements, 2 centre-opening and a 9-pane. Doorway with plank double doors to centre left. A little-altered example of a former National School.
