Laurels is a 17th-century cottage located on Orford Road in Tunstall. The building is timber framed and plastered, topped with a pantiled roof. It has one storey and an attic, featuring two modern casement windows and two dormer casements. The entrance has a boarded door with a bracketed canopy above it. There is also an axial red brick stack.
