Description

BOYTON (Off) THE STREET TM 34 NE (North Side) 7/35 Hand pump and 16/3/66 timber casing at Warners Almshouses G.V. II Cast iron pump of C19 date with side-mounted handle, below which is a trough with stone sides. The casing of the pump takes the form of an obelisk with a flat lead cap instead of a pyramid, formed of planking painted white. This casing is a replacement of C20 date but appears to follow an earlier example. Included for group value.
