Description

The pump located in the courtyard at Penrose Almshouses is likely from the late 17th century or early 18th century. It features a timber casing with a lead roof, an iron spout, and a handle. The casing is designed as a vertical box and is topped with lead capping that includes lead rolls at the corners and a lead acorn finial. There is a hole for the spout and a curved handle.
