Description

The Exeter Inn is a public house, likely dating from the 17th century or earlier, with substantial remodelling in the early 19th century, and a further addition probably from the early 19th century. It has roughcast walls and a slate roof, with brick chimneys at the right-hand end of the original building and its addition. The building is two storeys high, with a six-window front. The original part of the building is four windows wide, with a side doorway situated slightly to the right. Most windows are 8-paned sashes, with one upper-storey window blind. The addition to the left features a cart entrance with double plank doors; a window with 2-paned sashes is in the centre, a 6-panelled door to the right (the top two panels glazed and the lower panels replaced with vertical planking), and two-light metal casements with 8 panes per light in the upper storey. The interior has not been inspected.
