Description
Bay View (Number 14) and East Cliff (Number 15) are a pair of houses located on East Cliff in Southwold, dating from the late 18th century with later alterations. They are constructed of painted brick and feature a slate roof with a central gault brick ridge stack.
The exterior presents a symmetrical front with two storeys and four windows. On the left side, Number 14 has a six-panel door with an overlight, while on the right side, Number 15 has a uPVC door. Both houses have timber doorcases with fluted pilasters that support cornice hoods. Each house has a single ground floor window, which is a 19th-century two-over-two horned sash set within a late 18th-century flush frame. On the first floor, there are four two-over-two sashes, with the two on Number 14 featuring horns. Swept screen railings are located on either side of both doors.
The interior has not been inspected. Additionally, there are wrought-iron railings attached to the front of the houses.
