Description
Lydstep House and Coign is a house that has been converted into two dwellings. It was built around 1830 and underwent alterations and subdivision in the late 19th century. The building is constructed of gault brick and features a hipped slate roof with two stacks on the rear slope.
The exterior has three storeys and a three-window front. The central entrance consists of a four-panelled door with an overlight, framed by a timber doorcase that includes fluted pilasters supporting a plain entablature and hood. On either side of the door, there are unhorned sash windows with six panes over six panes, set beneath rendered and painted skewback arches. The first floor has similar sash windows, while the second floor features sash windows with three panes over six panes. The left side of the building has a secondary entrance, which is a panelled door within a timber doorcase that mirrors the main entrance's design. There is also a six-pane unhorned sash window on the first floor and a blind window on the second floor. The interior has not been inspected.
