Description

This is a barn located 40 meters south of Pyes Hall, dating from the 16th to 17th century, with 19th-century additions at both ends. It is timber framed and weatherboarded, topped with a thatched roof. The barn consists of a total of nine bays, including five bays from the original structure, with one bay added to the north and three bays added to the south. There are two porches on the west side. The earlier section features a roof with clasped and butt purlins and arched wind-bracing. Much of the interior is currently occupied by grain storage bins.
