Description

Ballygate House is an early 18th century building with alterations, situated within a group that includes Nos. 11 to 27 (odd) and the Rector's residence. It is two storeys and has an attic space containing three dormers. The building is constructed of red brick and has a double-span roof, a floor band, a plinth, and an eaves cornice incorporating ogee brackets. It features five sash windows, now with centre glazing bars only, set within flush frames. A six-panel door is housed within a wooden case, embellished with fluted Doric pilasters, triglyphs, and a mutular pediment. The interior contains four Adam-style duck-nest fireplaces. The roof is covered with pantiles. Photographs are held by the National Monuments Record.
