Description
Sibton Park Stables, built around 1830, is a single-storey stable building associated with Sibton Park. It is constructed of red brick with white brick facing on the courtyard and gable ends, and features a roof that is partly slated and partly pantiled. The main block is flanked by wings that enclose a courtyard, with walling and cast iron gates on the fourth side. The building includes lunette windows and various doors; the left wing is currently used for residential purposes and has sash windows along with a mid-20th century door.
The main block features central twin coach doors topped with a pediment, and above the roof is a square clock tower with an octagonal semi-circular arched bell turret. The bell turret is capped with a tall ogee roof and is topped by a weather vane. The gable ends facing the front are pedimented, each containing a single semi-circular headed window set within an arched recess, along with a porthole window in the tympanum.
