Description

Dog Cottage is a house that was formerly a public house, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of colour-washed brick and features a plain tiled roof with a central red brick chimney stack on the ridge and another on the right-hand return gable. The building has an 'L' plan and stands two storeys high. It has a three-window range, with sashes set in flush frames that include glazing bars. The entrance is marked by a projecting central brick porch, which has a crow-stepped gable and a slate roof, leading to a six-panel entrance door.
