Description

A terrace of three houses located on the High Street in Aldeburgh, dating to around 1820, with 20th-century alterations. The houses are built of colourwashed brick, with a roof of mixed red and black glazed pantiles. There is a truncated internal gable stack at each end of the terrace and a central ridge stack between numbers 267 and 269.

The exterior is two storeys high. Number 267 has a two-window front, while numbers 269 and 271 each have a one-window front. Number 267 features a central recessed-panel door, flanked by canted bay windows to the right and left, each with deep, rendered and painted skewback arches. The bay windows have sash windows with 2/2, 6/6, and 2/2 unhorned glazing bars. The first floor has two 3/6 unhorned sashes separated by a blind window. Number 269 has a 20th-century panelled door to the left and a late 20th-century uPVC window to the right, beneath a rendered gauged skewback arch; the first floor has a uPVC top-hung casement. Number 271 is entered through a 19th-century six-panel door to the right. It has one 6/6 horned sash window to the left, under a rendered gauged skewback arch, and a 3/6 unhorned sash window to the first floor. A full-width dentil eaves cornice runs along the top of the facade. The interior was not inspected.
