Description

Hitcham House is a house dating from the late 16th century. It is timber framed and plastered, with a thatched roof. The building has two storeys and a two-cell plan. There are two casement windows, along with one larger two-light mullion and transom window on the ground floor. The entrance features a lobby with a boarded door, and there is an internal stack. Inside, there is exposed internal timbering, although the original stairs have been removed.
