Description
The Hare and Hounds is a 16th-century timber-framed and plastered building, formerly an inn known as "The Kicking Dickey," and last used as such in 1950. It is now a private dwelling. The building originally had a cross wing at the west end, which was altered in the 18th century to include a mansard roof. The structure is one storey in height with attics. It has casement windows. The roof is tiled, featuring a gabled dormer on the main block, with a section of 20th-century pantiles at the east end. A modern wing extends to the south. The interior retains exposed timber framing.
